Crysler Hall Sound & Light SpectacularThe newest star attraction at the festival guaranteed to dazzle the senses is a nightly Sound & Light Spectacular on the exterior of the stately Crysler Hall in the heart of the Village.
2nd Annual Canadian Gingerbread House Championship
Masterpiece gingerbread creations from the Cordon Bleu School of Culinary Arts in Ottawa will be showcased nightly inside Crysler Hall, alongside prize-winning gingerbread entries from the public.
Grand Prize of $1500 and 2-Night Getaway to be awarded at start of the festival.

Hop on board the Toy Train, illuminated by a multitude of lights, and take a round trip through Crysler Park.
Rides depart nightly every half hour starting at 5:00 p.m. until closing. Limited seating available. Tickets can be bought ahead at the Train Station just outside Upper Canada Village for same night departures.

Skating Under the Stars
EZ Glide Outdoor Rink

Get ready to lace-up for the unique experience of skating on a state-of-the-art artificial rink, now with an improved gliding surface … first of its kind to be used in the Canadian outdoors! The rink is conveniently located just outside Cook's Tavern, with resounding holiday music from nearby Christ Church adding to the atmosphere.
Offered nightly ~ $3.50 per person (4 & under FREE)

Bring your own sharpened skates ~ limited skate rentals available.
Skate rentals are $5 per hour. A $50 deposit is required.

Take a break and warm up inside Cook's Tavern, now licensed to serve beer and wine, along with hot soup, chili and other snacks, hot cocoa and old-fashioned sarsaparilla or ginger beer.
The Harvest Barn
Step out of the cold and into the Harvest Barn located along Albert Street in Upper Canada Village, and you will find warm-you-up food and beverages, including a dinner special offered nightly.The Harvest Barn also welcomes group bookings of 20 or more.

Before or after your visit to Alight at Night, plan to dine in the comfortable surroundings of the Upper Canadian Cookhouse (at the Upper Canada Golf Course), open select nights throughout the festival. Drop your letters to Santa at our POST OFFICE located in the Store, they'll get to him quick … the Village is located half-way to the North Pole! Or tell him your wishes in person, and take a souvenir PHOTO WITH SANTA, who will be visiting the Store on select evenings.
The cost of a photo is $14.99 for an 8x10 print, and you can choose any combination of image size(s) that will fit onto the page. Maximum 5 people (plus Santa) per photo.

Fun & Lunch with Santa
One Day Only - Saturday, December 11
Santa is going to be making an extra-special appearance during this year's Alight at Night Festival, when he drops in for an afternoon visit at the Harvest Barn on Saturday December 11. Starting at 1:30 pm., FUN & LUNCH WITH SANTA promises to be fun for the whole family! Tell Santa your special wishes, enjoy a hot sandwich combo, (drink and fries plus hot turkey sandwich for adults/hot dog for children), decorate gingerbread men, and make your own Christmas wrap. Afterwards, kids can shop or spend time in the Movie Room at the Village Store while parents browse and shop at their own leisure. Take some time out for afternoon skating on the EZ Glide Rink.
Enjoy all of the above along with your evening admission to Alight at Night including skating, wagon and
train rides, all for one package price (GST extra): Adult $35 / Youth $25 / Child $12.

Special Needs Nights
Once again, the Village will set aside select evenings prior to opening - where groups of physically challenged people can ride in the comfort of their own vehicle to view the Village adorned in lights. Dates will be posted closer to the event.
Only "special needs" vans or parabuses allowed - no coaches or school busses, please. For everyone's safety, we will provide one of our own trained and licensed staff who is familiar with the Village roadways in the dark, to lead these vehicles through the site.
Admission to tour the Village when part of a "Special Needs" group is only $10 per person. Reservations must be made ahead, by calling 1-800-437-2233 or locally (613) 543-4328.
